Kristal believes that all children have the ability to learn and should be afforded a quality and rigorous education to build a strong foundation for success. Kristal’s first ten years in the NYCDOE was spent as a middle school teacher in a self-contained classroom, then as a middle school social studies teacher, before moving into the world of Response to Intervention (RtI) and Instructional Coaching. As an MSQI Coach, Kristal works with the District 75 Partnership as well as teachers and teams to implement Wilson Reading System. She supports strong pedagogy to improve student success and achievement towards independence and college and career readiness. Kristal holds a B.A. in Religious Studies, an M.S. in Urban Education, and an M.S. in Educational Administration.
