Kane thinks middle school students can be incredibly insightful, and we must empower them through critical literacy. Kane has worked in education, on three continents, for over 22 years, as a teacher, school leader, textbook author, and coach. This includes the last six years as a literacy consultant, here in New York City. Kane began working with schools in MSQI from its inception, and he has been contracted to work as a part of the central MSQI team for the past three years. He holds an Australian Bachelor in secondary education, including a method in teaching English to speakers of other languages.
